EAS is an electronic merchandise protection system that prevents shoplifting. It works in three essential stages:
- The tag is attached to High Risk Products (H.R.P.).
- At the time of purchase, this tag is removed or deactivated.
- If the product leaves the store with the tag active, the antennas (sensors) trigger the alarm.
